    Start with the right questions.

Run always-on discovery interviews to learn how users evaluate, adopt, and struggle with your product.

A conversation with a clear purpose.

Collect deeper qualitative insight without scheduling every interview manually. Use these prompts as a starting point and adapt the conversation to your audience.

    Example interview questions

    1. What job were you trying to get done when you started?
    2. Can you walk me through how you approached that task?
    3. What alternatives did you consider, and what influenced your choice?

    Leave room for the follow-up.

When an answer is broad, ask for a recent example. When someone describes a problem, ask what they tried next. Keep the wording neutral so the participant can explain their own experience.
